Interested in an alternative route to qualification as a solicitor?

CILEX stands for the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and offers an alternative route to becoming a solicitor without doing the LPC.  You gain exemptions from your Law degree to some of the CILEX exams.

Legal Executives can now become partners in Law firms and carry out the same role as a solicitor.

Find out more about the Graduate Fast-track Diploma

The Graduate Fast-track Diploma (GFTD) is designed for those that have recently gained a qualifying law degree or GDL. It's a shorter qualification route to fulfilling your career ambitions by becoming a Chartered Legal Executive lawyer.
If you have graduated with a qualifying law degree you can take the GFTD to complete the academic part of your legal qualification. You just need to study two units from the range of Level 6 Practice subjects (one of which must relate to the subjects you studied within your law degree), and the Level 6 Client Care Skills unit to complete your academic studies.
